Ward W. Johnson, D.D.S. graduated from the University of Iowa in 1989 and has practiced in Aspen since 1992. I am very happy to welcome you to our dental practice and want you to know I appreciate the chance to take care of you and your family. I am proud to provide high quality family-oriented dental care and cosmetic dentistry to adults and children of this community. The focus of my team is to offer you a comfortable environment with a personal touch, as you are the reason we are all here.
Dr. loves to spend time with his wife and 3 children enjoying the outdoors, vacationing and attending hockey and basketball games. Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. Daryl Gasca, D.D.S.
Raised in Reno, Nevada, Dr. Gasca was introduced to the outdoors growing up in the sierra Nevadas, close to Lake Tahoe. Little did he know, the Sierra Nevada mountains would only scratch the surface for his passion to live in an intimate mountain-town community. After completing his undergraduate degree at Whitman College, he traveled cross country to attend New York University's College of Dentistry. The experience of going from a small town in Washington to the big city, promoted personal growth, new perspective, as well as awareness of people and community. Upon finishing dental school, Dr. Gasca moved back to Washington state to complete his specialty training at the University of Washington where he received his master's degree and specialty certificate in periodontics. Having gotten to experience both coasts, where philosophies in dentistry vary greatly, Dr. Gasca had a better understanding of how dentistry was planned and executed in practice.
In 2014, Dr. Gasca moved to Colorado to start growing a periodontal practice and follow his drive to be close to the mountains. After working as an associate for one year, he became a partner in a private practice located in southeast Aurora. Here he helped grow the office tremendously over the ensuing 6 years by increasing practice production by a multiple of five and strengthening relationships with over 40 general dentists. In 2020, Dr. Gasca decided to sell his share of the practice to pursue his dream of living IN the mountains and create an alternative model for his periodontal practice.
Upon finalizing the sale of his share in the practice in 2021, Dr. Gasca joined Pacific Dental Services where he was tasked with creating a periodontal program in their New Mexico and Colorado offices. with his drive to develop an alternative model of practice, Dr. Gasca took on the challenge to grow a perio program in 11 general practices located in Santa Fe and Albuquerque and 2 offices in Denver. Throughout the following 12 months, Dr. Gasca was able to establish solid foundations within the general practice community and help elevate each office's periodontal programs. He succeeded by increasing the number of referrals into the periodontal programs, supporting the teams to understand how periodontics fits into everyday practice, and increase the quality of patient outcomes.
Dr. Gasca and his wife Sarah have moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in pursuit of an amazing community to live, work, grow and achieve their dream of living in the mountains. Dr. Gasca intends to provide a new, more collaborative experience for patients and practitioners alike by providing in-house specialty at New Castle Dental mixed with outstanding customer service.
